Avengers favourite: Scarlett has now appeared in four movies as the Black Widow character

Scarlett Johansson, the beloved Avenger, has portrayed the iconic Black Widow character in four different movies. However, before her current relationship with Romain, Scarlett had a somewhat tumultuous romantic history. She previously dated her co-star from Black Dahlia, Josh Hartnett, for a period of two years before meeting Ryan Reynolds, whom she eventually married. Unfortunately, the couple divorced in 2011, just three years after tying the knot. Despite personal setbacks, Scarlett has continuously proven unstoppable in her professional career. As a child actress, she successfully made the transition to more adult roles and even won a BAFTA award in 2003 for her role in Lost in Translation. However, her most successful movie franchise by far is Marvel’s The Avengers, in which she stars as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow. This role has been reprised by Scarlett three times since her debut in Iron Man 2 back in 2010.

Despite this, she prefers to do as much of her own stunts as possible and enjoys comparing her “battle wounds” with her male co-stars. Scarlett also mentioned that she has old injuries from Iron Man 2, which she keeps re-injuring, but she considers it part of the job and the process.

Big in China: Fans flocked to see Scarlett at the Beijing premiere of her new action movie

Scarlett drew in a massive crowd at the premiere of her latest action flick in China. She revealed that while sustaining injuries hurts more over time, she prefers doing as much of the stunt work as possible rather than handing it off to the professionals. “I’d rather have some battle wounds and compare bruises,” she said. However, with Scarlett now expecting a child, it’s likely that she’ll be scaling back on doing her own stunts and relying more on stunt doubles in the future.
