Warm birthday greetings to Shakira on her 44th! Your unique fashion sense has been impressing us for more than two decades, so let’s take a look at your fashion journey. Back in 2000, you looked breathtaking in a red wrap dress and long blonde curls, right after winning a Latin Grammy. You had already made a name in Latin America, poised to conquer the US market. As the early 2000s arrived, you explored different styles, from a short asymmetrical blonde bob to a chic fishnet and denim ensemble during your appearance on VH1’s “Divas Las Vegas” in 2002. It was around this time that you released your first English album “Laundry Service,” and captured the hearts of Americans with your chart-topping song “Whenever, Wherever.”

In 2003, Shakira, the renowned pop star from Colombia, made waves with her sultry style during her “Mangosta” tour. Her wavy locks and midriff-baring outfits became her signature look, which was fully embraced in 2005 with the release of her hit song “Hips Don’t Lie” featuring Wyclef Jean. The music video showcased her incredible hip-shaking skills in a tiered orange satin skirt and matching T-shirt tied around her waist, leaving fans mesmerized.

Apart from her flashy music videos, Shakira proved to be a fashion icon on the red carpet as well. At the 2008 ALMA Awards, she looked stunning in a strapless black gown with a zip-up front and an oversized statement belt. While she typically rocked her signature blonde curls for most events, she opted for long, soft waves when she met future President Barack Obama in 2009 at the “We Are One: Opening Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial” in Washington D.C. This new hairstyle suited her well, and she wore a similar style in August of the same year while attending the MTV Video Music Awards. Her black and silver sleeveless mini dress paired with knee-high boots wowed everyone in attendance.

The halftime show of NFL Super Bowl LIV in February 2020 was made memorable by the appearance of Shakira, the famous singer and dancer. She is currently in a long-term relationship with Gerard Pique, a Barcelona Football Club star, and they have two sons. Shakira is well-known for her colorful outfits that accentuate her stunning figure, which she often displays at various events. One such memorable event was the 2014 FIFA World Cup closing ceremony in Rio de Janeiro. However, it was her performance with Jennifer Lopez during the Super Bowl that left an unforgettable impression on over a hundred million viewers. Shakira’s six-minute set of her biggest hits, starting with a red belly-baring outfit with a fringe miniskirt, was truly mesmerizing. Later, JLo joined her, and together they closed the show with sparkling metallic outfits. Shakira looked stunning in a gold bodysuit with fringes on her hips and a keyhole opening revealing her abs. Her elaborate jacket emphasized her golden girl status. To get a glimpse of Shakira’s best looks over the past two decades, check out our gallery.
